THE HOURGLASS

Written By: Ryan Guiley August 2001

North winds are blowing in the blackened sky,

As the bloodshed is pouring into the sea,

The great rivers are all becoming dried,

And the doors are now being opened with keys.

One oak tree is planted on the earth,

That has seedlings ready to give birth,

Gather them and touch the hands of all living things,

Protect Gaia from the arrows so she can sing.

Travel back to the beginning were the root still grows,

The grain, the wine, the olive oil will be in fields,

Mountains will be covered in vineyards and the streams will flow,

The temple will be built with a great light as souls will be healed.

Build your own sliges through the darkened woodlands,

Keep these roads free of overgrowth and flooding with your own hands,

Climb a hill, a rainbow will shine at the tower,

Voices will be heard and they will give you a flower.

Take your binding force to the unknown towns,

Fill their cups, and share the bread with all your love

Destroy the iron, so weapons will never be found

Windmills will blow once again and skies will be with doves.

Do not be drifted, the sand moves through the hour,

Let them be aware by singing with your voice of power,

There will be times of exhaustion and times that will be hard,

To overcome, save your clues and use your huge deck of cards.

Money will conspire with your heart but never with your soul,

At the river cleanse your guilt so you can be preserved,

Finally your flower will planted in the glade, it’s your goal,

They will walk with four legs and people will have a chance to be heard,

Do not fill your backpack, what good is it to others,

This will help the less fortunate, why should they suffer

The passengers will walk by, but never in front,

It takes time, day by day, week by week and month by month

The blessing is in your flesh and blood,

Sing to the people with your gifted soul.

Save the seas and leave your footprints in the mud,

So the rebirth of things can praise you as a whole.
